'Olive' is dead.

It was very unfortunate to find Olive the Queen dead from injuries probably from a Lion. She was due to give birth next month. It's nature.

Success Hunt.

'Saba' again this morning successful brought down a male Tommy. She executed her skills so well and shows she can now be on her own. She drags it into the croton bushes afterwards. Really maturing!

FEMALE HORNED IMPALA!

There's one female Impala with horns in Masai Mara near Explorer/ Intrepids Camp. This is due to hormonal imbalance. The horns are curved downward. Compare the following pictures! At the bottom is with the male. Waiting to see if she will give birth!

Saba Debut 'kill'

'Saba' Olives youngest daughter made her first successful kill this morning near Olare Orok River, in Masai Mara. We watched her for over ten minutes as she kill her prey.
Finally she did and drag it to the bushes just in time before the arrival of another carnivore, Hyena. She hurriedly put it on top of a tree. Her mother Olive later emerged.

" Malaika"

This Cheetah is called 'malaika' which literally means Angel. She is the one who like climbing on top of the jeeps. Here she is with her son 'Bawa'.





Rekero Pride.

This are the Rekero pride sub adults which are three years old. The pride compost of three females, seven sub adults and the five big males led by 'Notch'. Here they were crossing the swollen Talek river. Afterwards they killed a buffalo together with their mothers.

Double Crossing male.

This male and his brother, which are roughly five years have taken over the double cross area which used to be Notch and Sons territory. We will see what will happen when the group returned!

Olkiombo Pride

This morning we left at around 6.30am for the morning game drive. It was raining and very wet, but we manage to see the Olkiombo pride.
